- Education Qualification: Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in any stream. The minimum percentage required may vary depending upon the university or college, typically 45 to 50%.
- Age Limit: There is no age limit for pursuing LLB; however, many colleges and universities have age restrictions, ranging from 20 to 30 years.
- Entrance Exam: Most colleges and universities require the candidate to clear an Entrance Exam to secure admission to LLB. The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), CLAT, The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET), and AP LAW SET are India's two most popular entrance exams for admission to LLB.
- Reservation: There is the reservation of seats in LLB for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
